These terms apply when you use carlenius.com, the Carlenius browser extension and the Car Match wizard. Please read them. By using the service you agree to them.
Carlenius is a free service for people looking at used cars. It includes a browser extension that remembers vehicles you have viewed on supported websites, a garage where you keep those vehicles, tools with prices and cost estimates, and the Car Match wizard. We are an independent information service. We are not a car dealer, broker, lender, insurer or valuer, and we do not sell cars.
Prices, costs, valuations, price ranges, fuel and charging prices, import and tax figures and Car Match recommendations are estimates or summaries of third-party data. They may be incomplete, wrong or out of date, and they may not include every fee, tax or condition that applies to your purchase. Check the figures and the vehicle yourself before you buy, and ask the seller or an independent expert where it matters.
Nothing on Carlenius is legal, tax, financial, insurance or mechanical advice, and using the service does not create an advisory relationship with us. Car Match suggests options that fit the criteria you entered. It does not confirm that a car is suitable, roadworthy or worth its price.
Carlenius links to websites, marketplaces and services that we do not operate, and some figures come from third parties such as public authorities and data providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability, prices or terms. Any contract you make is with them.
Some links lead to partner services through an affiliate programme. If you use one and buy or sign up, we may receive a commission. This does not change the price you pay. We do not order tools or Car Match results by commission. Where a link is an affiliate link, we say so next to it.
You may save vehicles and information to your garage only if you have the right to save them. By saving something, you warrant that you have the rights needed to save it. You give Carlenius a licence to store, display and process what you save, limited to running your garage for you.
Do not use Carlenius to break the law or to harm other people or the service. Do not scrape, overload or attack the service or our data sources, and do not use the extension to collect information you have no right to collect. We may limit or close accounts that break these rules.
To the extent the law allows, Carlenius is not liable for losses that come from relying on information on this site, from third-party sites or from a purchase you make. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date it is published.
